The Damallsvenskan Swedish: [dɑːmˈâlːˌsvɛnːskan] ; lit. The division consists of a league of 14 teams. The two lowest placed teams are relegated to the Elitettanand the two highest placed teams from the Elitettan are promoted in their place. Starting with the season the league has been expanded from 12 to 14 teams.
